March Monthly Message from the FDIC
The FDIC recognizes the importance of financial education during National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW), March 5 - 11, 2023. Effective financial education helps people gain the skills and confidence necessary to sustain a banking relationship, achieve financial goals, and improve financial well-being. Money Smart Alliance
The FDIC recognizes organizations that contribute to the delivery of the Money Smart curriculum through the Money Smart Alliance Program. By joining the Alliance, members receive Money Smart updates and other information that can strengthen your financial education efforts. Membership also includes quarterly information-sharing calls with FDIC staff exclusively offered to Alliance members.
New Version of Money Smart for Young Adults Released
The FDIC will host a training featuring the newly updated curriculum, Money Smart for Young Adults (MSYA), on April 5, 2023 at 1:00 PM ET. The MSYA instructor-led curriculum provides participants with practical knowledge, skill-building opportunities, and resources to manage their finances with confidence. Instructors can use this curriculum to deliver unbiased, relevant and accurate financial education, whether they are new or experienced trainers. Registration information can be found here.
Latest FDIC Consumer News Edition
To promote National Disability Awareness Month, the March 2023 edition of the FDIC Consumer News is titled “Financial Empowerment and Inclusion.” This issue provides tips about products and services available at banks and other agencies to people with disabilities. Read the full article here.
