Teleconference on Risk Management - Credit Risks & Accounting Update

On March 31, 2016, the FDIC’s San Francisco Regional Office will host a teleconference on Risk Management - Credit risk reminders along with an accounting update. 

As the recovery in the banking industry is maturing, various areas have emerged that are the focus of ongoing supervisory attention, including credit risks. FDIC examination staff will discuss trends in credit growth metrics, recently issued guidance, and prudent credit risk management reminders. In addition, our regional accountant will provide an update on the proposed changes in accounting for credit losses. 

The 60-minute presentation will be followed by a 30-minute question and answer session. To ensure questions are addressed, participants will have the opportunity to email their questions in advance to Questions may also be submitted during the live broadcast.


Who Should Attend
San Francisco Region Supervised Banks: We encourage directors, chief executive officers, presidents, chief risk officers, chief credit officers, chief financial officers, and internal auditors to attend.


Registration Information
Please complete the online registration form to reserve a place and receive the teleconference phone number and passcode.  The teleconference is open to FDIC-supervised institutions in the San Francisco Region.  Participants may call in from any location and are not required to be onsite at their institution.  If you have any problems registering, please send an email to and include your name, title, and bank name/location.

To allow sufficient time for all participants to be connected, we encourage you to call at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the teleconference.
