Christina Tetreault is Manager, Financial Policy, for Consumer Reports (CR). She leads Consumer Reports’ day-to-day policy efforts to realize a marketplace in which financial fairness is protected and in which consumers are empowered to make powerful, informed choices while being protected by laws and other policies. Christina’s focus areas are emerging technologies and financial data use.
Christina worked with others at CR to developed Consumer Reports ratings peer-to-peer payments in 2018, and for prepaid cards in 2013. From 2015 – 2018, Christina represented consumer interest groups on the steering committee of the Federal Reserve sponsored Faster Payments Task Force, and on the post-Task Force working group to establish faster payments governance. She has twice testified before Congressional committees on financial technology, and is a regular speaker on blockchain and cryptocurrency. In recent years, Christina has been a panelist at several Federal Trade Commission FinTech Forum sessions on cryptocurrency. Christina lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.
