FDIC Hosts Community Development Webinar for Indiana Banks and Community Groups
In recognition of Financial Wellness Month, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will present findings from the recently released How America Banks: Household Use of Banking and Financial Services. Speakers will discuss how Hoosiers’ survey results compare to the nation, characteristics of unbanked households, and resources to help reach those households. Several banks will share products targeting unbanked populations, including Black and Latinx households that are five times more likely to be unbanked. Participants will also hear the Community Reinvestment Act implications of serving low- and moderate-income consumers and get to share their community development needs. Finally, the FDIC will share its Community Affairs’ 2021 outreach plan for Indiana.
