FDIC Hosts Webinar on Advancing Equitable Access to Safe and Affordable Bank Accounts in Minnesota
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a webinar aimed at connecting financial institutions and community-based organizations to resources and local knowledge of effective strategies to help unbanked households in Minnesota become banked. The workshop will help bankers understand the importance of low-cost bank accounts and what next steps banks can take if they are considering offering a low-cost account for the first time. Community-based organizations will hear how collaborating with a bank partner can leverage innovative service delivery models to reach families that may not otherwise be banked.
