FDIC and DFPI Co-Host Launch of California Coalition for Financial Empowerment in Fresno, CA

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) are convening the California Coalition for Financial Empowerment launch event.

The California Coalition for Financial Empowerment is a new regional initiative that will bring together government agencies, financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders. The mission is to build a coalition that develops and implements collective solutions to consumer financial protection/inclusion challenges. 

The first regional chapter will serve Fresno, Kings, Madera, and Tulare Counties. It will serve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building to engage unbanked/underbanked communities in the Central San Joaquin Valley.
