FDIC Hosts Forum Promoting Safe and Affordable Bank Accounts in LMI Communities in Colorado

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is hosting a forum to discuss opportunities for banks to enhance the financial health and wealth building of low- and moderate-income (LMI) communities in Colorado. FDIC will provide an overview of the 2021 FDIC National Survey of Unbanked and Underbanked Households and discuss strategies and methods to overcome barriers. Attendees will hear how Bank On Colorado is expanding bank access and building partnerships to grow the financial resilience and well-being of Coloradans. The Colorado Office of Financial Empowerment will also introduce the new Pueblo Financial Empowerment Center.
