FDIC and OCC Present: The Resiliency of Small Women-Owned and Minority Businesses in Alabama

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will host an event designed to provide information on, and promote, women- and minority-owned small businesses. The resiliency of women- and minority-owned small businesses is increasingly crucial to the success of small town businesses. The event will include a panel who will discuss access to capital, credit challenges, and ways to attract larger companies to small towns and rural areas. This will leverage growth and development for small businesses to continue building local leadership, foster a vibrant small business and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and generate wealth that stays in the community.

Presenters:

  • Jerry Mitchell, President/CEO, Alabama State Black Chamber
  • Mary Ellen Judah, Executive Director, Neighborhood Concepts, Inc.
