The FDIC and OCC Host Tax Time Resources and Opportunities to #GETBANKED

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) are hosting a webinar for banks and community-based organizations to promote free tax assistance for low-and moderate-income (LMI) households and bank accounts for unbanked Americans. The webinar will feature the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which will provide an overview of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program and VITA offices and Tax Resource organizations that will share tax resources benefiting consumers and small businesses. Partners will also outline tax season partnership opportunities. The FDIC will share their #GetBanked resources to help unbanked households obtain bank accounts in order to easily receive their tax refund.
