Noncore funding includes large time deposits, borrowings, brokered deposits, and foreign deposits. In 2006, noncore funding was 31.4 percent of funding in these institutions. In 2006, noncore funding was 31.4 percent of funding in these institutions, and this number rose to 38.6 percent in 2007 and 39.2 percent in 2007. By June 2009, however, noncore funding dropped to 37.6 percent of funding in these institutions, though it still remains a significant funding source.
