Small Business Loans Grew Slowly, While Large Business Lending Contracted - The chart depicts the amounts of commercial and industrial loans (C&I) to small business - loans with original amounts in excess of $1.0 Million - held by commercial banks as of the end of the second quarter of the current year and each of the previous four years.  Also depicted are C&I loans to larger businesses at the end of the second quarter.
