The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a virtual event to promote community development collaborations that expand access to free income tax preparation services for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households and small businesses. Presenters will highlight actionable opportunities to support community development, through VITA, Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE), and related programs including by offering affordable accounts to unbanked and underbanked LMI households who access these free tax preparation services.
