The FDIC will host the Southeast Michigan Alliance for Economic Inclusion (SEMAEI) meeting via webinar. This meeting aims to bring local community development stakeholders together to discuss opportunities to expand access to affordable and sustainable bank accounts for unbanked consumers, encourage small business lending by leveraging federal programs, and supporting related community development opportunities. This webinar will feature speakers from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Bank On Detroit, and the Michigan Open Account Coalition (MOAC). The SBA will share insights into new SBA programs and resources; Bank On Detroit and MOAC will share program updates and plans for advancing financial empowerment and account access during 2026.
