Panelist Biography - Yazmin E. Ozaki
Senior Consumer Research Associate, Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection
Yazmin E. Osaki is a Senior Consumer Research Associate in the FDIC's Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP). She has worked on several economic inclusion and consumer policy issues including the FDIC National Survey of Unbanked and Underbanked Households, the Survey of Banks' Efforts to Serve the Unbanked and Underbanked, and the Study of Bank Overdraft Programs.
Prior to joining DCP, Ms. Osaki served as Special Assistant to the Deputy to the Vice Chairman. Osaki joined the FDIC from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she served as Senior Community Development Analyst in the Office of Regional and Community Affairs.
Prior to working at the Federal Reserve Bank, she was a Regulatory Costing Analyst and Business Analyst in the Regulatory Affairs and Market and Business Analysis areas of Sprint Corporation. She also previously worked at The World Bank's Development Research Group, the Peruvian Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Peruvian Ministry of Labor.
Ms. Osaki earned her B.A. in economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru and her master's in public policy from the University of Chicago.
