Panelist Biography - Benjamin L. Navarro

Benjamin L. Navarro is a Policy Analyst in the FDIC’s Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP) where he researches emerging and developing issues related to consumers’ use of financial products and develops supervisory policy recommendations.
Prior to joining the FDIC, he researched consumer transaction accounts as a Senior Associate with the Pew Charitable Trusts. He worked on projects related to checking account overdraft programs, general purpose reloadable prepaid cards, and mandatory binding arbitration agreements.
Prior to working with the Pew Charitable Trusts, Mr. Navarro was a Senior Business Analyst with Capital One Bank where he developed product and marketing strategies for both consumer and commercial banking products.
Mr. Navarro earned his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia and his Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
