The annual survey of branch office deposits as of June 30, 2016 for all FDIC-insured institutions was published on September 30th.

Today's Bank, Huntsville, Arkansas, Assumes All of the Deposits of Allied Bank, Mulberry, Arkansas

Allied Bank, Mulberry, Arkansas, was closed today by the Arkansas State Banking Department, which appointed the FDIC as receiver. To protect the depositors, the FDIC entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Today’s Bank, Huntsville, Arkansas, to assume all of the deposits of Allied Bank.

Net Income Rises to $43.6 Billion at FDIC-Insured Institutions In Second Quarter 2016

Income and revenue both increased from a year ago, loan growth remained strong, the number of unprofitable banks was at an 18-year low, and there were fewer banks on the problem list. Community banks reported strong net income, revenue, and loan growth.
