FDIC MAKES PUBLIC JANUARY 1994 ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS; PROVIDES LIST OF HEARINGS TO BE HELD IN MARCH

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation today released a
list of orders of administrative enforcement actions taken against
banks and individuals in January of 1994. One administrative
hearing is scheduled during March.
The FDIC processed a total of 33 final orders in January.
These included one cease-and-desist order, one call report penalty,
four removal and prohibition orders, five civil money penalties,
one prompt corrective action, 17 terminations of cease-and-desist
orders, one termination of Section 8(a), one order withdrawing
notification to primary regulator of findings, one order
terminating capital directive, and one adjudicated decision.
