The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FRB-SF), and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) are conducting a statewide virtual forum to address the lack of affordable housing and viable homeownerships options for low-and moderate-income (LMI) rural communities in Nevada. The event capitalizes on opportunities uncovered during a recent listening session to promote banking industry collaboration with local housing agencies and the private sector in community development projects. The forum will help housing agencies and private sector stakeholders discuss opportunities related to operational and financial support from banks for CRA-qualifying affordable housing and workforce housing initiatives in LMI rural communities.
