Chacko George is a Financial Economist in the Banking Research Section of the Division of Insurance and Research.
He obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include banking, monetary policy, and macroeconomics. He joined the FDIC in August 2014 after receiving his PhD and MS in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago.
