Dear Madam/Sir:
As a housing development specialist for a nonprofit that supports
communities along the Monongahela Valley in PA, I very
much appreciate the support and good working
relationship of the community lenders.
The CRA is a very much needed and fair policy especially for
the communities we serve. I oppose the FDIC's proposal to
allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined
as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This
policy would reduce lending, investments and services
in low-income communities.
