As a small Community Development Corporation in a secondary market , we are very concerned that this change will adversely effect our support from larger banking institutions. With the mergers occurring in our marketplace, the impact will be magnified. Therefore, I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities.
