RE: Community Reinvestment Act The City of San Clemente has worked
with many small non-profit developers accessing funds from small banks
and CDFI’s purchasing land and properties for our affordable housing
program. I oppose the FDIC’s proposal to allow banks with assets above
$250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community
Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and
services in providing more housing to low income households in San
Clemente. I urge FDIC to withdraw its proposed rule.
