I strongly oppose the proposed rule changes in the Community
Reinvestment Act (RIN 3064-AC50). This action will do harm to rural
communities. : I would like to echo the thoughts put forth in a recent
NY Times article:
Banks should not be allowed to jettison community reinvestment
responsibilities ... in the quest for profit. If these new regulations
are allowed to stand ... Communities could eventually find themselves
back in the dark ages of redlining and financial isolation.
