I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250
million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment
Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in
low-income communities.
I am a small business firm that will rely on small banks to invest
into an SBIC as part of the investment strategy to invest in the
inner-city, underserved, and rural areas.
Please preserve CRA so that these banks can continue to be subject to
the investment test as part of the provision to operate.
