Subject: Withdraw proposed change to CRA (RIN 3064-AC50)!
To Whom it may concern,
As a concerned citizen, I oppose the proposed changes to the
Community Reinvestment Act.
If implemented, they would weaken the act's effectiveness in providing
bank investment and services to low-income areas. Economically, this
policy makes little sense since low-income areas greatly need financial
investment.
Please keep the act as is.
Banks should not be allowed to jettison community reinvestment
responsibilities ... in the quest for profit. If these new regulations
are allowed to stand ... Communities could eventually find themselves
back in the dark ages of redlining and financial isolation. New York
