Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chairman Jelena McWilliams issued the following statement on Acting Comptroller of the Currency Brian Brooks’ plans to step down.

“I am grateful to Acting Comptroller Brian Brooks for his dedication and professionalism during his tenure at the OCC and on the FDIC Board of Directors. Comptroller Brooks brought tremendous intellect and energy to his job as a regulator and I will always be grateful for his collaborative approach to the shared missions of our agencies. I wish him all the best in the future.”
