September 16, 2003

TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (also of interest to BSA Compliance Officer)
SUBJECT: Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons
Summary: Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control has added 20 entries as Specially Designated Global Terrorists to its list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons.

On September 5, 2003, the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added 20 new Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) entries to its list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDNs). The new entries can be found in the attached list.

OFAC has asked that we distribute the information to all FDIC-supervised institutions so records can be checked for accounts that are required to be blocked. OFAC information also may be found on the Internet at https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/office-of-foreign-assets-control-sanctions-programs-and-information.

Please distribute this information to the appropriate personnel in your institution. For further information about Executive Orders or control regulations, please call OFAC's Compliance Programs Division at 1-800-540-6322.
