SUBJECT: Counterfeit Cashier's Checks

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has learned that counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on O'Bannon Bank, Buffalo, Missouri, are in circulation. The counterfeit items bear the routing number 081505702 and the account number 780001. They also show the city, state and zip code of the bank as Kansas City, MO 62895. The O'Bannon Bank has no offices in Kansas City, MO, and the zip code, 62895, is an Illinois zip code. In addition, the counterfeit items have the endorsement section on the opposite end of the reverse side of the check from where that section would normally be located. Attached for your information is a copy of one of the bank's legitimate checks and a copy of one of the counterfeit instruments.
