TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
SUBJECT: Entities That May Be Conducting Banking Operations Without Authorization

The Central Bank of Belize has issued the attached warning concerning an entity that is not licensed to provide banking and/or financial business in or from within Belize. Any proposed transactions involving Caribbean Building Society should be viewed with extreme caution. The entity is currently advertising itself on [Web product is no longer available] as a "fully licensed financial institution" authorized to engage in a comprehensive range of international financial services and offering attractive savings programs.

Please provide any information about this entity to Mr. Keith Arnold, Governor, Central Bank of Belize, P.O. Box 852, Belize City, Belize. This information, as well as information on any other unauthorized entities, also may be forwarded to the FDIC's Special Activities Section, 550 17th Street, NW, Room F-6012, Washington, DC 20429. Information also may transmitted electronically to alert@fdic.gov.
