The counterfeit items have an incorrect account number, and information received to date indicates that items have been negotiated in California. The missing items have serial numbers ranging from 93783 through and including 938000. The missing checks are yellow/gold in color. To date, none have been presented for payment. On the bank's legitimate checks, the bank's name and location appear near the top center, and the name "Security Service Corporation, P. O. Box 5011, Sioux Falls, SD 57117" appears in the upper left corner. A notation on the legitimate checks indicates they are not valid for over $50.00. A copy is attached for your information. On the counterfeit checks, the bank's name and location appear near the top center, and the name "Security Service Corp., 13444 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44112" appears in the upper left corner. At least two different styles of checks have been used. Copies are attached for your information.
