FFIEC Risk Management Planning Seminar

TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
SUBJECT: FFIEC Risk Management Planning Seminar for Fourth Quarter 1998

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) will host its last 1998 Risk Management Planning Seminar on October 15 and 16 in San Francisco, California.

These planning seminars provide an excellent opportunity for senior management to discuss risk management issues and examination procedures with regulators. The seminar in San Francisco will be focusing on Year 2000 issues, Capital Market Risks, Integrated Risk Management, Underwriting Standards, and Credit Risks. There will also be a discussion on the proposed revisions to the Uniform Policy for Classifications of Consumer Installment Credit.

As these issues are relevant to both large and small financial institutions, we encourage all institutions to send a senior staff member to the seminar. For more information, please contact the FFIEC Examiner Education Office at (703) 516-5588.
