FFIEC Risk Management Planning Seminars

TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
SUBJECT: FFIEC Risk Management Planning Seminars for 1998

The interagency Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) has issued the attached press release announcing two FFIEC Risk Management Planning Seminars in 1998. The seminar schedule follows:

  • May 14-15 in San Antonio, TX. The seminar will focus on community institutions.

  • October 15-16 in San Francisco, CA. The focus will be large institutions.

The planning seminars, held since 1990, provide an opportunity for senior management to discuss risk management issues and examination procedures with regulators. Appropriate bank-wide risk management programs are essential to the safe and sound operation of financial institutions.

All financial institutions are encouraged to send a senior staff member to one of the seminars. For more information, please contact the FFIEC Examiner Education Office at (703) 516-5588.
