Subject: Premium increase on Brokered CD's RIN 3064-AD35

Please be advise it is the opinion of the Cortez Community Bank 1000 South Broad St Brooksville, FL.34609 that the thresholds for triggering an increase in the cost of FDIC Insurance should be increased. We sell CD’s through our correspondent Bank (Silverton Bank) and the process is quick the maintenance is minimal the rates and terms are lower than we can get from our local customer market. Each CD is transacted in $99,000 increments and all of the documentation is provided by our correspondent. The local market is more volatile then the brokered market, customers will move for a k16th of a percent. The brokered market is flexible in that we have better control of our liquidity position with hour notice of change.
