Subject: Community Reinvestment Act

I recently heard that the FDIC is considering
exemptions to the Community Reinvestment Act. I think
this would be a mistake. In a time when banks are
following the pattern of big business and merging, I
do not think they should be allowed to forget smaller
business that may not seem suitably profitable. Small
banks should be held to community service as well.
When you are required by many banks to pay a $1.50 for
the opportunity to remove your money from a
non-affliated ATM, this sounds like another move to
benefit an industry already enjoying too much
deregulation.

Thank you for your consideration,
Tony Morgan
