I strongly oppose the proposed rule changes in the Community Reinvestment Act (RIN 3064-AC50). This action will do harm to rural communities. : Most of America's big cities are still a segregated, impoverished, broken-down mess thanks to the influence of federal lending policies, redlining in particular. We need to protect access to credit, especially fair and affordable housing and community revitalization financing, for all Americans regardless of where they live.

Our government should do everything it can to establish a finance system where honest people can take out honest loans. Please, do not let banks become justified in callous or unfair lending practices.

I do not protest honorable business dealings that consider the risks associated with making loans. I do protest the denigration of an important segment of our society by the excessive protection of banking interests over lender interests.
