Patience Singleton is a Senior Policy Analyst in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Ms. Singleton has over 20 years of experience and expertise in consumer financial services policy development in the legislative and executive branches. Prior to joining the FDIC in 2013, Ms. Singleton served as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development where she worked on Obama Administration initiatives to preserve homeownership and stabilize housing markets. From 1998-2009, she was a staffer on the U.S Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee and the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Financial Services where her portfolio included consumer banking, economic inclusion, regulatory reform measures, and community reinvestment issues. She began her career as an attorney in the financial institutions practice of a major Washington, DC law firm. Ms. Singleton holds a B.A., M.P.P. and J.D.
