Guest Speaker Biography - Mary Jane Town

Mary Jane Town joined Monroe Bank & Trust (MBT) in 2005 as Vice President, Director of Marketing with over 25 years experience in marketing, public relations, events planning and corporate communications. In this capacity, she is responsible for product development and launch, public relations, sponsorships and corporate communications, advertising and promotion. 

Town began her marketing career in the cable television industry as Vice President, Director of Marketing for Maclean Hunter Cable Television in Michigan, and, later, Omnicom of Michigan. In those capacities, she worked closely with government agencies including the FCC and FTC as well as the Energy and Commerce Committee of the United States Congress in the areas of policy, regulation and legislation.

She has also served as Director of Development for the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s College of Engineering; as Director of Marketing for Dykema, a major Detroit-based law firm; and as President of The Town Agency, a privately owned marketing communications firm.

She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and a former secondary Speech and Theatre teacher, producer, director and actress.
