Dr. Lianne Fisman

Science and Research Senior Director, Qualitative Mixed Methods, Abt Associates

Dr. Lianne Fisman is an experienced researcher and a recognized expert in qualitative and mixed method research, design, and analysis. She specializes in evaluating and strengthening programs that support economically disadvantaged individuals and communities. Dr. Fisman currently leads Abt’s Qualitative and Mixed Methods sub-capability. During her tenure at Abt, she has served as project director and task leader on projects related to a variety of policy areas, including housing, financial wellness, and education. In addition to her work at Abt, Dr. Fisman spent five years at Wellspring Consulting where she worked with a team of consultants to identify insights that helped organizations operate more strategically and reach their goals.

Dr. Fisman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University, a Master of Science degree from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
