Biography - Timothy J. Mayopoulos

Tim Mayopoulos is the President of Blend, a NYSE-listed cloud-based software company enabling banks, credit unions, mortgage originators and other fintech companies to process billions of dollars of mortgage loans and consumer banking transactions per day. Before joining Blend in 2019, Tim served as President and CEO of Fannie Mae for more than six years. Under his leadership, the company returned to sustained profitability, delivered more than $167 billion in dividends to taxpayers, and introduced new technologies to the housing finance system to make mortgage lending faster, safer and more transparent.

Tim has had a long career in financial services. He served as the General Counsel of Bank of America for five years, and held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Tim serves on the boards of directors of LendingClub, the leading digital marketplace bank in the U.S., and SAIC, a technology integrator for the civilian, defense and national security agencies of the U.S. government. Tim also serves as a director or advisor to a number of private companies.

Tim is a graduate of Cornell University and the New York University School of Law.
