Montrice Godard Yakimov

Montrice Godard Yakimov is the Acting Associate Director of Community Affairs at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). In this role, Montrice directs, manages, and coordinates the FDIC's national Community Affairs, Economic Inclusion, Financial Education, and Outreach Programs. Together, these programs are an integral component of the FDIC's mission to promote public confidence in the financial system, working to provide access to mainstream financial institutions for unbanked and underbanked individuals, families and small businesses, working with financial institutions to meet the convenience and needs of their communities, with a particular focus on the unique challenges of low- to moderate- income (LMI) neighborhoods and families.

Prior to serving in this role Montrice held a variety of leadership positions in Community Affairs, Compliance Supervision, Regulatory Policy, and Risk Management. She was the Managing Director of Compliance and Consumer Protection at the Office of Thrift Supervision, Manager of the Community Affairs Program at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, Chief Risk Officer at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service in the U.S. Treasury Department, and Chief of the FDIC’s IT Policy, Audit, Compliance, and Risk Management Section in the Division of Information Technology.

Montrice completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Howard University and her Master of Arts at George Washington University, in Washington, DC.
