Linda Chero is the Assistant Commissioner of Disbursing and Debt Management (DDM) and Chief Disbursing Officer for the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service. As the Assistant Commissioner for DDM, Ms. Chero is responsible for providing executive leadership for the disbursement of more than $1.38 billion Treasury-disbursed payments totaling $5.28 trillion annually, the accounting for those payments, and the resolution of payment claims. Additionally, Ms. Chero is responsible for the collection of delinquent debt owed to the government totaling $5.16 billion through the Treasury Offset Program and $356.2 million through the Cross Servicing program, annually. Ms. Chero obtained her Master of Business Administration from Temple University, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rutgers University.
