Ron Jauregui

Ron Jauregui is a Community Affairs Specialist in the Outreach and Program Development Section in Washington. Ron has a diverse range of experience in outreach and community development. He has authored research on homeownership strategies for the underserved, managed the development of housing-related educational resources, and facilitated a project for attorneys to provide pro bono assistance to homeowners at risk of foreclosure. Ron has served as Director of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s HOGAR homeownership initiative, Senior Vice President for Community Alliances with the Hispanic National Mortgage Association (a correspondent investor), Community Builder Fellow with the Santa Ana HUD field office, Private Partnerships Developer with the Fairfax County, VA Government, and a mortgage officer with the Bank of America. Ron served as a member of the Virginia Foreclosure Prevention Task Force under Governor Tim Kaine and on the Virginia Housing Development Authority’s Single Family Housing Advisory Board. He holds a JD degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, a BA from Claremont McKenna College, and was a Graduate Fellow at the Universidad de Guadalajara. He has an “Accredited Mortgage Professional” credential from the Mortgage Bankers Association and also received recognition as a Future Leader by that trade association. At the FDIC, Ron currently serves as Project Manager for the Youth Savings Pilot.
