I strongly oppose the proposed rule changes in the Community
Reinvestment Act (RIN 3064-AC50). This action will do harm to rural
communities. : As someone who lived in Appalachia and now lives in rural
Iowa, I've seen what a difference it can make when banks reinvest in our
communities. Please do not reduce the number of banks that undergo
compliance testing with the Community Reinvestment Act. At a time when
there are lots of people struggling due to the economy, this is very
important.
