I strongly oppose the proposed rule changes in the Community
Reinvestment Act (RIN 3064-AC50). This action will do harm to rural
communities. : I was born and raised in rural America, and though I now
live in a city which has benefited from CRA, I frequently visit or drive
through rural Pennsylvania where I was raised, as well as New York and
New England, and as I look at the trailer parks and run down or
abandoned farmhouses, and the signs of poverty in the small towns, I
reflect that just as I feel a sense of loss by my family's economic
displacement from the countryside, so the nation is losing it's balance
if rural and small town life ceases to be an option. Please allow the
CRA to have its intended impact.
