Dear Friends,

Please do not cut the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) which assists with the development of affordable housing and helps ensure equal access to credit not just for a few, not just for the powerful, but to Americans of every race, ethnicity and income level. If CRA is cut, there will be only ONE BANK in Iowa required to participate in affirmative lending programs to low and moderate income citizens either through direct services or community based organizations. Some community minded banks would still assist low and moderate income citizens while others would likely refocus their energies on other money making business ventures. Please be mindful of those whose incomes depend on the help afforded them by CRA.
