Banker Webinar on Revisions to the Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income (Call Report)

Summary:

The federal banking agencies will conduct a webinar for bankers on March 8, 2017, to discuss the new FFIEC 051 Call Report for eligible small institutions and changes to the existing FFIEC 031 and FFIEC 041 Call Reports. The new report and the updates are part of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's (FFIEC) efforts to reduce data reporting and other burdens for small financial institutions.

Statement of Applicability to Institutions With Total Assets Under $1 Billion: This Financial Institution Letter applies to all FDIC-supervised banks and savings associations, including community institutions.

Highlights:

  • The webinar will introduce the new FFIEC 051 Call Report, explain its content and how it differs from the existing FFIEC 041 Call Report, and describe the changes to the existing versions of the Call Report. These Call Report revisions are scheduled to take effect March 31, 2017, subject to approval by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.
  • The new FFIEC 051 Call Report generally is applicable to institutions with domestic offices only and total assets of less than $1 billion.
  • All institutions are invited to participate in the webinar on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Eastern Time.
  • Registration for the webinar is not required.
