FDIC Federal Register Citations From: MaryBeth Aldrich [mailto:mbaldrich@nhsofbeloit.com] In a perfect world, lending institutions would do the right thing and invest in all communities regardless of their demographic characteristics. Since we do not live in a perfect world, I am writing to request that you oppose the FDIC’s proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) . These institutions provide needed support for community development that could disappear if the CRA incentive is nullified.
