FDIC Federal Register Citations From: Diane Bolduc [mailto:dmay2@optonline.net] I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities. As a housing activist in Fairfield County, Connecticut, which is one of the most expensive areas in the country for housing, I know that CRA has been a powerful tool in encouraging banks to partner with other stakeholders to invest in our low income neighborhoods. If these banks step away from the table, which they certainly will with this rule change, there will be virtually no chance for affordable housing to be built in our area! Please do not allow this to happen!
