FDIC Federal Register Citations From: Hudson, Patrice [mailto:Phudson@caajlh.org] Dear Sir/Madam, I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. This policy would reduce lending, investments and services in low-income communities. I serve a small, rural community in the state of Michigan. Local banks must continue to be encouraged to invest in these types of communities in order for them to grow and thrive. The proposed rule will provide a disincentive, thus harming the communities that are the very lifesblood of this country. Please reconsider this proposed rule; the best interests of American citizens, particularly those in small, rural communities must be placed as a higher priority to those of large lending institutions. Sincerely, Patrice E. Hudson
