I oppose the FDIC's proposal to allow banks with assets above $250 million to be examined as small banks under the Community Reinvestment Act. Large banks should be subject to greater scrutiny since their investment and lending volume, and therefore effect on their communities, is much larger. This FDIC proposal would reduce much-needed lending, investments and services in low-income communities.
